Motorola lawsuit forces Apple to drop push e-mail in Germany

I don't remember if Dave still uses his iPhone.. plus for those who have an interest in these things.

Come on Germans, sue the pair of them for messing up your services. It’s about time the users got to call time on these patent disputes affecting choice and functionality.

Can't say I really miss it, or see much difference.

I have my phone set to push during the day and pull every hour in the evening (Exchange to Android).

On my iCloud account, I probably get 1 to 2 emails a day, so whether they are pushed or pulled doesn't make much difference.

And email isn't really that important, so it can wait a few minutes, until I call it up.

All in all, not really bothered. I just hope that it take Apple a while to sort out and they reconsider their whole "go nuclear on Android" strategy that they inherited from Jobs. They might have a hundred milliard dollars in the bank, but that is our money and they shouldn't get too comfortable with it.
