I just registered but nothing so far, given that it's just over a week from start to finish I'm going to have to do a pretty simple app to start with, but the fact you pay no fees to sign up/submit is a definite bonus, and I have a big fat Android book to get me started :D

I guess they've got piles of them left, so why not seed them?

Got my submission confirmation today, so just had a little shifty at the portal, it's quite nicely laid out and easy to find information, the tutorials look pretty good and the option of developing in C/C++, Native Java, Android Java, Adobe Air or even HTML5 is pretty darn cool :)

Going to get started on my app tomorrow I think

I don't know much about coding but it seems the key to making apps is to make sure that you can your app on as many platforms as possible.

example: http://crackberry.com/android-developer ... experience

So a tool like Marmelade might be quite handy: http://www.madewithmarmalade.com/marmalade/benefits

Btw, if you make your app QNX native you will be able to sell it to QNX phones too...
