eBuyer do a mouse for £2.50 and a keyboard for £5.99 (Xenta brand)

You can also pick them up in Tesco for a reasonable price if you don't want to wait ages for the free delivery.

However, I'd only suggest using very cheap ones if you're never really going to use them. If you spend any amount of time at the computer, then it's more important for your comfort to have a decent screen, mouse and keyboard than anything else.

It depends on what you want. I want a good feel and decent travel, which means a good quality Cherry or a specialist keyboard which still uses switches - the former, which are "ok" are around 30 quid and the latter start at around 100 quid and go up to 3-400 quid.

For a mouse, I still prefer the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0, which still goes for around 35 quid

That said, at the moment on my laptop, I am using a Logitech Unity keyboard and mouse (wireless), that means I use one dongle and have a keyboard and mouse at home and work, that also cost around 50-60 quid for mouse and keyboard.

I do a lot of typing, therefore I want a decent keyboard and mouse.

For cheap keyboards and mice, we use Cherry Stream XT keyboards, which we get for about 5€ purchase price and mice around 2€ for a basic Logitech.

Actually shounds good for the PS3 - trying to use the remote to type in addresses etc is a pain - and a cheep USB keyboard might be a the best idea
