Why do things have to change.
have upgraded from office and outlook 2000 to 2010.
exported all information from outlook 2000 and then imported to 2010.
but I now appear to have multiple inboxes, outboxes, sent items etc etc. I also appear to have gained a gmail folder?
Can anyone help in resolving these multiple folders and getting everything back to how it was in outlook 2000
apart from reinstalling office 2000
cheers
Alan

Outlook 2010 likes to setup a separate mailbox for each and every account.
Home > Account Settings then change which folder the msgs get delivered too.
I tend to set-up a brand new PST e.g. called "main mail" (or whatever you like), set all your email accounts in Outlook to deliver to this file.
Move all your existing messages over and kill off any references to the old PSTs, so in the Data Files tab (Home > Account settings), there is only the one main PST. Then restart Outlook.
There are some other annoyances with 2010, including the inability to be able to arrange folders how you like in the main folder list, it drives me mad having deleted items, drafts and calendar at the bottom not at the top.
