Hi,
i'm having a few teething issues with my new installs of chrome and firefox. They don't want to save any history when I exit and reboot. I am running win 7 pro 64 bit.

It sounds like a permissions issue. Try running them just once with administrator rights so they can create what they have to.

Don't think it is a permissions issue unless Rich has setup another user account on that machine.

Rich - In Firefox have you checked the settings in "Tools" "Options" "Privacy" as could be the "Clear History When Firefox Closes" option is ticked.

It could also be CCleaner program that I put on for you - go to "Start" "Programs" "CCleaner" "Options" "Settings" and uncheck the "Run CCleaner when computer starts".

My bet is on CCleaner so look at that first - use that on all works PC's as it flushes out temporary files that can end-up just cluttering-up machine.

This is the most common culprit I come across on other peoples machines. For some reason it sometimes installs or sets itself to "Always use private browsing mode".
