I use Zimbra desktop client for my gmail and hotmail http://www.zimbra.com/products/desktop.html You can add non webmail accounts (Exchange via IMAP, plus IMAP and POP) |

It does everything Outlook Express did, and more. I think it's actually pretty good, unless you have over a zillion emails in which case it gets rather slow. |

any one had any issues getting thunderbird working with virgin imap mail? got pop working but imap doesn't seem to want to work... |

I thought Virgin email was just 'rebadged' google email. In which case I think you have to specifically turn IMAP on in the options somewhere. |

supposedly its turned on , but when I try to specify the imap... server it doesn't find it... |
