Morning all,

I'm trying to change the password of my user on an Ubuntu 12.04 box at work. I only have SSH access to the server, so I tried the command, and it told me it wasn't installed. So I tried installing it and was told it was already installed :/
Code:
user@machine:~$ passwd
The program 'passwd' is currently not installed.  You can install it by typing:
sudo apt-get install passwd
user@machine:~$ sudo apt-get install passwd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
passwd is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 149 not upgraded.

What do I do? :/

Root also doesn't seem to be able to find passwd:
Code:
passwd user
passwd: command not found
