Afternoon all, I have seen people use large antennas to help get a better signal on their pcs. They seem to be USB based. I'm wondering what they are called and if there are any Mac compatible ones? I quite often fin myself with an overly large laptop bag and just out of range for wifi... Many thanks, Ben |

They're not wifi antennas exactly, they're complete USB wifi network cards. You certainly couldn't attach an antenna cable to a USB stick and just expect to get better wifi reception. A quick google seems to suggest your best option is bearextender whose kit does seem to be available in the UK. Jon |

Ah ha! I really had no idea what they did. I suspected they were either a network card or somehow routed the signal to the wifi card... |
