Nokia have announced the WP8 powered Lumia 920.

PC Pro first look

It's got some very nice features and could actually tempt me to make the jump from Android.

Hmm, so they're announcing it now, but it won't be available until "nearer Christmas" - by which time Apple's iPhone 5 will have gained more share of the market. Seems a bit short sighted of Nokia - why announce it if it's not available for another 2 or 3 months? Nice looking handset though, but don't like the look of Windows 8 so it's a no from me. If it ran Android, I could be tempted.

They've managed to get themselves into a little bit of bother already for faking the video and the stills used in the ads. Whoopsy.

I wonder if they think by announcing it now potential iPhone upgraders will hang on for the 902?

I think that's definitely the plan, and I admire their optimism.

Looks nice, but it runs Windows Phone, so count me out.

I think that's definitely the plan, and I admire their optimism.

But not their grasp on reality.

Their previous Lumia model didn't convince me. Two people at work have them, one has had three replacements, the other has had two.

I'm not keen on that metro-style UI either.

But hey, my 3G iPhone is three years old and I have no intention of changing it unless it dies; so I doubt I fall into the demographic they are targeting.
