Needs replacing on the old 3GS. Am need of tools + battery. Go to ebay or are there other better places to buy from? |

I changed one last year for someone - it's tedious work but not difficult. There are ebay listing that offer the tools with the battery. Having fixed a few iphones, I can tell you to pick from the listings that show the tools with stainless steel ends. The black tipped ones wear out very quickly - sometimes within the time it takes to undo a few screws. |

I didn't realise you could get higher capacity batteries for it. I'd certainly be tempted. |

Doing a little research shows the 1600mAh batteries can sometimes be 1200mAh ones disguised with a sticker! Anyway going for the 1200mAh battery and see what happens. |
