Don't know what other peoples experiences with utorrent are, but I only started using it recently.

I started using 1.8.2 a few months ago and couldn't be happier with it, then I updated to 1.8.3 now I have problems with Steam and file sharing over my local network.

I've now started using 1.9 beta and the local file sharing is back, and steam might be working, haven't had time to make sure yet.

Has anyone else had this or similar experience with 1.8.3

With the 1.9 beta Steam is now back up and running.

I'm intrigued as to what caused the problem though, I'm guessing utorrent's use of ports somehow blocked the one that Steam is allocated.
