Its a bit premeture as it wont drop on my doorstep unti Thursday but has anyone overclocked this or a 260/280? Basically I saved myself £20 by buying the Asus version clocked at 633MHz rather than the XFX at 670MHz. As they both used the same chip and reference cooler design I'm guessing mine will overclock to the same speed (I know its not always an exact science). There's a much more expensive version clocked at 709MHz and 2484MHz memory too. Its got me thinking how high this thing could go. I think i'll be steering clear of the 700+ figures ![]() |

A small OC will be fine & easy to do with RivaTuner. 700MHz+ chips are usually cherry picked |

Thats pretty much what I expected with the 700+ cards. I think I'll have to trawl the net for some guidelines and example overclocks then. As long as I get it up to the same clock speed as the XFX card I'll be happy. I just hope the monster fits in my case. I heard it's fairly long! |

I bought a GTX260 to replace an 8800GTS and it's about 2.5" longer than the 8800GTS. I had to rework the HDD wiring and stuff as the wires weren't long enough to go around the 260. |

Oh well, at least it gives me a good excuse to tidy my wiring up. I've been meaning to do it for a while. Some before and after shots coming up me thinks! |

Well it arrived and it fit in the case. All good so far. A quick test on ARMAII with the settings set very high and it seems nice and smooth so far. Will test in a multiplayer game later. 3D Mark 06 results were quite interesting. The 'common' system gets 16900 (core i7, GTX295) and mine gets 16122. I guess the 'common' system will pull away in 3D Mark Vantage but I'm limited to DirectX9 (XP) anyway. ![]() Forgot to add its clocked at 670MHz core/1440MHz shader/2376MHz memory using Riva Tuner and 60% fan. |

That seems low for an I7 with a 295, I'm getting that with a stock clocked 955be and the afore mentioned XFX 275 XXX. |
