Is it just me, or does the iPod Touch pick up scratches very easily?

I've had it at work today, sitting on my desk, and I've just noticed that the back is covered in tiny scratches! The desk is clean and the iPod is less than a day old...

It is just cosmetic, but it is annoying, considering it hasn't been out of the packaging for 24 hours yet! :?

The plastic does scratch easily, that's why I have a sticker on the back of mine (gelaskins ftw)

Thanks, I'll try and find one... I bought a cover for the screen, as the glass on my htc 'phone has lots of tiny scratches in it.

Yeah I find that the backs of all iPods scratch really easily, but not major scratches just really thin small ones.

I find the screens very resilient though.

I did manage to shift some scratches from my original 1st gen iPod using brasso. You need a very fine abrasive to make a good job of it, and it will never be as shiny.

After a while, I just decided that the patina of time was better than keeping the shiny back. My iPod Photo looks quite tatty now, but it’s been through a lot.

I'm after a tatty iPod if you want to sell it, Paul. ;)

Send me a PM if you want. :P

I don’t have my first Gen iPod any more, and I’m keeping the current HD one until it dies. By then, the 32MB+ iPhones should be affordable.
