Quote: Samsung has unveiled a home media streaming hub at Mobile World Congress (MWC) called Homesync, bringing 1TB of storage for Android Galaxy users.
"HomeSync allows you to stream content from your [Android] Galaxy device wirelessly to the TV, letting you watch, see and use all your home videos, photos and apps, and all at a full HD 1080p," Samsung said. Acting as a media centre, network storage solution, media server and home content and files hub, Homesync's 1TB hard drive can sync multiple devices' shared or private content and streams through a user's TV via HDMI. There's also support for optical audio so music and movies can be streamed with higher quality sound. One downside is that Android users are limited to Samsung Galaxy devices in order to take advantage of the hub. However, Homesync supports up to eight separate accounts for those families that do own Galaxy tablets and smartphones, allowing them to upload and download content from multiple devices and share files with one another. |
