iTunes Update Error?

Hello

Anyone else getting an error when trying to update iTunes via the App Store on the Mac? Other apps seemed have updated but get "Operation Cancelled 3072"?

I'm on 10.8.2, and it's only updating from 11 to the most recent one - no large iTunes leap....

Any ideas?!

Thanks!

Ben

Try downloading the standalone installer from the Apple website. Or wait til tomorrow and try again - these errors are usually temporary or could be due to maintenance on Apple's servers.

Thanks - I'll give that a go.

Been happening for a few days now, so wasn't sure if it was a bigger problem?!

Two things..

1) Do you have multiple users on your Mac? Apparently an update can fail if the app in question is open in another user's session.
2) Follow

Open Finder
Select Mac HD Under Devices
Open Library folder then Preferences folder
Trash " com.apple.softwareupdate.plist " file (take a zipped backup first, just in case)
Restart Computer
Try software update again.
