The iPad 2 and the iPhone 4 are still pretty well covered at this stage.

As an iPad 2 owner I am pleased that it is included.

Hmm, my iPhone isn't on the list.

I thought all of yours had faults and eventually you replaced it with an Android phone. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.

The newest phone that isn't on the list is roughly four years old. That's an age in mobile phone terms. I've got an android phone I bought in sodding February that doesn't appear to be getting the most recent OS, despite what the manufacturer said at the time.

Yeah, I'm happy with that. I've never had a phone as long as my iPhone and still not bothered about upgrading.

It's a shame the 4th generation iPod touch isn't supported, mine's only a couple of years old and I'd have loved to have run iOS 7 - sadly, only the current 5th generation can run it. Wasn't the 4th gen iPod touch based on the same hardware as the iPhone 4, or was it the 3GS but with a Retina Screen?

Can't remember exactly, but iPod touches tend to be based on the previous iPhone build to whenever they come out (i.e. iPod touch that came out with the iPhone 4S was based on the iPhone 4 internals).

That does fit with what Tim Cook said about so many Android phones running older OSes. It is one reason why I like the Apple App store. It literally allows you to update regularly. The one feature that I am looking forward to is the background updates.

I've been on iOS 7 since Monday and I've noticed a few times that apps have been updating. It's quite cool too as the name of the app gets a blue dot next to it to show that it has been updated.

I'm looking forward to updating to the next phone, whenever that may be.

I was debating installing the beta as I have a developer account, but decided against it. So do you like OS 7 overall? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.
