We have a couple of computers running Brother QL-570 label printers. They work but on one computer it occasionally freezes. If I try to cancel the print, it just stops responding. If I go to services.msc and stop and then restart print spooler, everything's fine. If I set to print directly to the printer (no spooling), it works for a bit and it'll freeze again. Then I have to turn off/on printer, restart print spooler and sometimes even restart the PC before it works again.
Drivers are up to date.
Any thoughts?

Buggy drivers.
We use Zebra label printers, but we also wrote our own drivers or print directly from our applications.

Used to happen a lot with USB drivers on '95. Its not that old, is it?
Rarely it can be an interrupt conflict, but buggy drivers is more common. Assuming it is USB, make sure its not on a hub.

It's XP. I've not been around much to fix things so they called out the tech guy and he came and fixed it. Whilst I was in hospital with big needles in me.
