Excuse the noobyness ,what key combo is secure empty trash might work for a client of mine .

So I deleted a file (one file in the trash can) using Secure Empty Trash. Why, when there was only one file in there did it report it was deleting 5 files? Managed to reproduce it twice. |

I believe a secure empty of the trash overwrites the blocks the file occupies on the hard drive multiple times - possibly 3 times, but don't quote me on that. That could explain why it says it's deleting more files, it's just overwriting the blocks multiple times. |

I don't think it has a key combo, you go under the "Finder" menu at the top and select "Secure Empty Trash" - just under the standard "Empty Trash" option. |
