I have a number of tracks I'n my iTunes library that my ex wife purchased through the iTunes Store and she's now changed her password so I can't transfer the music across to my iPod.
Is there a way that I can easily get a list of all the tracks/artists that this applies to so I can get rid of them and buy them myself?

Possibly the easiest way since you cannot access her account is to search your drives for files with the extension .m4a which is Apples iTunes music DRM format. .m4v for video.

Though have you tried adding a smart list in iTunes? Where you only have one rule. Match Purchased is true. It probably will not allow you to play them, but you will be able to find them =.

The problem with doing it that way is that I'll get all of my own purchased items in there as well.
I was kinda hoping that there would be a way to determine which purchased items belong to my ex's account, so I can go about replacing them.

How many purchases do you both have. There might be a way if you cannot play them. Create a smart list and clear any logged plays and then try playing them. If it does not register as played then those it played would yours and every other would have been hers.

DRMed iTunes purchases have different metadata to newer, unprotected tracks. If you create a smart playlist and set it to search for 'Kind' with a kind of 'Protected AAC', that playlist should show you all the DRMed tracks in your iTunes library. You might add a second field with a 'date added' to filter out only ones that were bought before or after a certain point.

Damn simpler than my solution.

Actually, there is another field called 'Apple ID' which will tell you which account the tracks were bought under. However you can't use that as a filter in a smart playlist. It is a quick way to tell if you 'get info' and then 'next/previous' though them though.

This worked a treat.
To be clear, the Smart Playlist looks like this
Match all of the following rules
Purchased is true
Media Kind is Music

I've got all 44 tracks that were bought by my ex that I can now dump and re-purchase myself. \•/

Best bit is once you have purchased them you can also download them to your iPhone as well.

That will tell you all the music you've bought from iTunes, but it won't separate the DRMed stuff from the non-DRMed stuff. All music bought from iTunes music is 'purchased', the DRMed stuff is 'protected'. If it works though fair enough...

It tells all that was bought from iTunes, yes.
Go to a track in any of the albums it displays and hit Cmd+I and I can see what account it was purchased using.
That way I can determine all the tracks/albums that weren't bought by me. (8+)
