Hi
Just bought a new drive (Seagate 3TB) which I'll keep at work as a secondary back up drive. It'll be tied to my iMac (OSX 10.9), but I want it to be visible to Windows, just in case I need to share/collect files directly or plug into my smart tv etc - so I've reformatted it to exFAT on Windows machine, as I read this is a better way to do it so it works with both OSX and Windows.
Trouble is, now the Mac won't mount it. It's visible in Disk Utility (although partially greyed out), but not on the desktop. There was an option when formatting to 'allocate size' to files (or something) so I just chose the largest figure. Could that be the issue??
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Ben

Just found one article which says that the file allocation should be 512k which is OSX default, so will try that and see if it works!
