So CES this year went very big on wearable tech. I've posted before about what wearable tech should not do - that is desperately try to reproduce all the functions of a smartphone on a wrist band doing most of them badly. I think we all know which device I'm talking about. Most of the announcements were for pretty mundane devices but a couple actually seem to have some rational thought behind them though...

Razer nabu - seems to combine the things a smart watch would actually be useful for with a lot of the tech from the fitbit flex+/nike fuelband SE style fitness devices. Looks quite good. won the Endgadget device of the show award.

LG LIfeband - verging onto the 'too much functionality' side, requires a second device for full functionality and not as nice looking as the Nabu or Reign, but if you want one fitness device that does everything, this is pretty much it.

Jaybird Reign - silly name and more limited than the nabu, going straight up against the Flex+/Fuelband functionality wise but I very much like the design.

Meh, nothing that I'd wear. My watch is all I want.

Those all seem like fitness apps apart which you can already do with devices like the Fitbit or Withings Pulse. Nothing really new that is has not already being tried.

Wearable tech?
Technically wouldn't a condom be classed as such? ;)
