Assuming this isn't some sort of late April fool, I think this is an amazing gadget https://fresh.amazon.com/dash OK, in the US Amazon do grocery deliveries under the 'Amazon fresh' label. This is a small wand which you can use to build your order by scanning bar codes of things you're running out of and telling it about other things, which it uses online speech recognition to recognise. It sends all this to Amazon over wifi, so then all you then have to do when you sit in front of your PC schedule delivery and click 'ok'. No more shipping lists, no more forgetting things. Leave the wand in the kitchen and just scan things when you're low on them. This is exactly what a gadget should be. It does one thing and by doing it makes life more convenient and saves you time. I think it's awesome. It's the kind of thing Apple would do on one of their good days. |

We've got everything in favourites we've been using home delivery that long - anything else are online offers or one-offs that wouldn't be in the house normally and get added to favourites automatically then. I tend to take the tablet into the kitchen and update as I go along. Though I could see the benefit of teaching my bloody mother to use it. The last time I looked at Amazon's UK food prices they were scandalous ![]() |

Bear in mind the supermarkets will charge you up to £7 for a delivery with their online shopping. Dunno what Amazon do, never tried them. |

I appreciate Amazon don't have the buying power or infrastructure of the supermarkets, but I'm hoping it was a Marketplace seller who was looking £5 plus delivery for a box of Kellogg's Cornflakes ![]() |
