Hi Guys, Got a wee problem with a runtime error with Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library in explorer.exe Anyone got advice on how I can sort this? it started with one file doing it whenever I open it now it just does it when I start up, I cant even delete the file because the runtime error pops up. I appreciate any help with this as its doing my nut it lol. ( would have fixed it already but I dont get the net at home until tomorrow) Cheers Kal |

Usually something dodgy in the Send To list or on the context menu itself... Try removing any add-ins which have installed themselves to the context menu and clear out the Send To folder in All Users and the logged in user. If that solves the problem, add them back in until the culprit is found. |

Hi Big D! I removed them from the send to folder but I dont know what else I can do, and I dont know what you mean by the context menu? |

The Context menu is the one you get when you right click on a file etc. Anything in there, like a zipper, Nero, Tortoise SVN etc. If you have anything other than the standard list of entries in this menu, try removing them. |

Do a Start / Run and then type eventvwr and hit enter. Look through the application section for any errors, it'll often tell you the exe that's causing the problem. |

All I know is VLC media player caused the same problem in Firefox 'til I removed the plugin... ![]() |
