Hi all

Does anyone know of an "easy" way to download video from a pop-out Flash player on Mavericks please? I wanted to keep a stream of a gig I went to last night as it's only live for 7 days, but my usual video extensions on Firefox don't pick it up. I understand that's it's like this to STOP people like me doing so, but it was such a great gig I'd love to keep it. I will contact the site to ask, but think I know what the answer will be (and it'll most likely rhyme with "hiss toff").

Though about screen capture apps but don't think the quality would be good enough.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Ben

Have you tried KeepVid.com - although you'll need the web address for that, depending on browser you're using you might be able to enable the address bar with a keyboard shortcut if it's disabled on the pop-up window, or check the Activity window for the web address, then copy and paste it into KeepVid.com

Thanks - I will try it, although the player doesn't come out in a new 'window' - it's sort of an embedded pop-out...

I've tried in Firefox to use 'Inspect Element' to see if the video file showed up, but can't see anything there (or at least anything I understand!!)

Well, I've had some success using a downloader on the iPhone.... now I just need to work out how to get all the .ts files converted to one usable file!....

I've found the ClickToFlash plugin for Safari - which also allows you to download videos - to work a lot of the time. Certainly works with youtube and as it's a plugin rather than an application may work with embedded like that.
