Not strictly Mac software as it's for iOS (specifically iOS 8), but an interesting bit of software all the same.
Since the introduction of iOS 8 the camera controls have been opened up to third-party developers, and one of the consequences of that is camera apps that give you control over shutter speed, ISO and even provides histograms with live feedback.

I'm a bit undecided about this, as on the one hand if I wanted to go to all that effort taking a photograph, I'd actually pick up my DSLR in the first place.
But I realise that a lot of people don't have a DSLR so for those, getting something that can approximate the controls of one would (and probably will - and I think peeps even with a DSLR would likely be interested in apps like this too) be a big draw to something like this.

Anybody else with any other thoughts?

Mark

I think it will be really useful... I've often wondered about taking long exposure shots. I know apps are out there, but never knew if the were really taking long exposure or just faux-multiple exposure comps...??

I certainly use the manual settings a lot on my Lumia 1020.

I've had a bit of a play with it. It's not bad, although I find the interface a bit clunky, a bit 'form over function' in places and it seems to be missing a couple of things. You can control everything except the aperture (because the iPhone has a fixed aperture lens) and the feedback you get to changing the EV say is quite useful. I'd say the inbuilt camera app, particularly in iOS 8, is fairly functional so it's not like you need it, but if you want to play around with the photos you take and not have to do it in post, it's useful.

I've been playing with it too. I like the manual focus as well. It can focus closer than you think, and certainly more reliably than I can get the regular Camera app to.
