Post subject:  Resize W7 dynamic disk partitions

I need to resize my disk partitions - C: is too small. The Disk Management says the disk is 'Dynamic' and EaseUS Partition Master (the free version) won't do this operation on Dynamic disks. I need to end up with a Dynamic disk to reinstate the mirrors.

I'm lacking confidence, should I simply convert the disk to Basic, resize with Partition Master and convert back to Dynamic?

Or, is there a different graphical free tool that can work on Dynamic disks?

Cursing setting C: too small when I last reinstalled Windows...

The phrase "world of hurt" springs to mind.

I don't think it's that easy......

Usual backup rules apply.

Hi cats, and welcome to the forum!

I think a little more information is required.

How many partitions do you have on the drive?
What size are the various partitions?

If it were me, I would probably buy another drive, (they are a lot cheaper these days) back up my data and re-install Windows.

Or just buy another drive, install Windows and use that as your main drive, keeping the old one as a data drive.
