Hi all,
I've decided to run Ubuntu on my server (other suggestions welcome) in a VM. I want to know what security Ubuntu (or suggested distro) has and how I can lock it down, probably via the command line. I want something that is going to be quite light, and easy to use via the CLI, so I can run folding@home on it...
Can anyone lend a hand? I don't want anything other than SSH and F@H going in or out of this VM.
Thanks very much, Ben

On the desktop version there is a built-in firewall that is off by default - it's called "uncomplicated firewall.
To turn it on, type sudo ufw enable
for a full list of commands type
ufw --help
I think...
