Post subject: | Computer Cases |
I currently have an Akasa Eclipse 62 case which houses 4 hard drives, a GeForce GTX 285 and Intel QX9650 cpu. The case has 2 x 120mm fans - 1 front and 1 rear but still gets a bit toasty. Next month I will be rebuilding the machine and so am looking for a new case - I looked at the Antec 900 (too small) and Antec 1200 (too heavy) so really want an aluminium case, good cooling abilities, large enough to work with and (if possible) can have wheels fitted. Budget is £150 plus whatever I can sell the Eclipse for. Suggestions? |

Coolermaster RC-1000 Cosmos, or the 'S' version. Great cases, my RC-1000 is effectively silent, has 6 fans stuck to various places in it as well ![]() |

If you can stretch to it (no idea what your old case will fetch) I can seriously recommend this: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Lian-Li- ... ase-No-Psu I've built a system in it and it's a delight to work with (except maybe for the hard drive mountings). |

I've been considering various options from upgrades to a new build recently and after a great deal of reading, I kinda decided I would get an Antec P193 if I was gonna. The cooling is superb, there's bags of space for all 5 of my HDDs and it looks well organised. However, Jon's recommendation makes a lot of sense, as a) he's actually used it, and b) Lian-Li are really going to town on the "single bit of extruded aluminum" bit at the moment and it seems to work really well. |

This is a great case. (As usual), I'm selling my one that's only a couple of months old as I've changed cases (again). PM me |

The Antec P193 is nice but made from steel and over 16kg empty so unless it has wheels I would get a hernia trying to move it! Same applies to the Cosmos as nearly 14kg empty ![]() The Lian Li PC-V2010B looks promising - also like look of Lian-Li PC-P60B or Lian-Li PC-P80B |

Yeah, I hear you. I just can't find anything else with that much room and decent construction without the weight. I looked at the smaller Lian-Li (can't remember if it was the 60, think it was) and it's only got 3x3.5" bays, so no good for either of us! |

Have a look at the Silverstone Fortress. Lot of people love that one. http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/ ... 1&area=usa |

Saspro, are you selling A77? I ordered black version from Chilledpc but they haven't been able to get hold of one for nearly 2 months now. I am sceptical that Kustompc could get one themselves and even if they did there is no way I am paying £200 for it. |
