Any one here have personal experience of installing the latest iOS update on to an iPad 2 that they would care to share?
I'm thinking I may take the plunge and upgrade (the iPad is still on 7.1.1 at the moment), but real-work user experience would be good to hear before I decide.

Not an iPad 2 but a mark one iPad mini, which I think has pretty much identical internals. My verdict would be it's not always 'smooth' - there are moments when it just seems to twiddle it's thumbs for a few seconds when I'm typing on it - but generally it is usable.

ios 8.2 killed my ipad 2 .. well kinda.

I can not get the wifi pref pane to load unless i restart the ipad a few times, hard reset it and pray to the ipad fairies.

If the ipad runs out of power it forgets it can use my wifi and i have to go through the chanting again.

Apart from that its fine.
