Post subject:  Creating Wordpress themes
Hi all,

Has anyone ever created their own Wordpress theme? I'm thinking about creating one so I can use the same template to design the rest of my site so my blog integrates nicely.

I've looked at the following two sites:

But they are both rather old and I'm not sure how much (if anything) has changed. I do like their format of tutorial though.

Does anyone have any similar resources or any tips for creating a theme?

I've only hacked a theme together. And at the moment I'm using a theme from a generic free template site, that also had a WP theme.

I created one for my website and it was pretty easy.

I just used the wordpress website and poking around the files. It's pretty easy to understand once you take a look at the files tbh.
