Every time Windows 7 advises that I have updates ready to install I click the balloon and the box opens, and I get a teeny weeny little bit more peeved at the list of language packs in the optional updates list that I do not want and never will want, and I always wonder if there's a way of getting rid of them from the list. Usually I forget all about it within a couple of minutes but this time, since the browser was open and at this site I thought I'd ask. Does anyone know how to get rid of them? Forever? Thanks ![]() |

Yep, I had the same problem with Vista... Only Ultimate version "suffer" this problem. It was the same with those b****y Dream Scenes and the Poker game... ![]() |

I don't use automated updates - I go direct to the website and do it from there, where I can 'hide' certain updates forever, so they're never downloaded and I'm never reminded of them. |

You can hide them on the Windows Update "client" on the PC too. Also, AFAIK, you can't utilise your method on Vista or 7, only on pre-Vista Microsoft OSes. |
