To download or not to download that is the question.

Ah I'll take the plunge!

It's good.

I like the new genius mixes and there are some layout differences when browsing your music etc...

apart from the fact that it didn't think my iPod was authorised so removed my photos and apps from it :( (Will have to fix it tonight)

Looks the same to me with updated icons. Just done work machine so far. Not sure whether to do my iTouch library if it removes the apps!

I upgraded my work machine and updated my iPhone to 3.1. Have not tried a sync. Will do that at home.
The new feature to re-arrange the apps through iTunes does look good.

I'm not sure if I like the new icons or not.

They're darker than the old ones, and I think they look less 'fresh'. I definitely don't like the look of the new volume control.

As for new features, meh.

I've not tried it yet, but is Home Sharing basically just exactly what sharing was before??? ie you connect to playlists on the remote machine?? Or can you sync up libraries?

Probably one of the most interesting additions to iTunes is the Home Sharing, which will see you able to share everything from music and video to applications between up to 5 computers in the same household. Authorised computers will be able to simply drag and drop content between folders, and will even be alerted to new content added by users that they don't have

Typical Apple though, they break their own interface guidelines, the iTunes title bar is lighter, more 3D and "shinier" than the other apps.

What would be really useful is being able to plug my iPhone or Touch into whichever machine I happen to be sitting at...

Booted up iTunes, it updated, and now it looks very odd. A quick "about iTunes" reveals I've gone from 8 to 9. :o

Something I've just discovered -
In the About iTunes... box, holding option makes the scrolling text go backwards. I have no idea why.

The Game sub-categories have vanished.

Moving the sub-sections of the iTunes Store from a separate box on the page to being a hidden menu on the hot spot from the section (App Store, TV Sendungen, Höbücher etc.) is a little confusing. I was cursing that they had removed the categories for Apps, then happened to leave the mouse cursor hovering over the hotspot for the App Store and saw the down arrow... :?

Some of the changes are for the better, but that one is going to be confusing for some...

If you want to find a certain type of game you have to do a search then do a Power Search for that type. To find all racing games I have to search "Racing" twice.

Lunacy as there is now 662 pages of unsorted games.
