PAs are unable to transfer calls back when they've picked up calls for their bosses. There's only one line on each phone (avaya phones have 3) so when they transfer back it goes straight to voicemail. Our support company don't know what we're talking about. I know Avaya inside and out but not had Cisco training yet.

I've raised a ticket with Cisco

At my previous place, we had this problem with certain phone models (Cisco video handsets). It required a firmware update on the phones and on the PBX itself. That was back around April time.

Have you checked that both are up-to-date? It could be unrelated, but it is a good place to start.
