As posted in the hardware section, I've got a new HDD for the laptop. But I left the frikkin recovery discs at home, so I can't reinstall XP. Can I use the XP disc that came with my desktop and use that on the laptop? Can I use the laptop serial # or do I have to use the desktop one? |

Yes any XP disk, of the same type e.g. Pro, Home etc, as your licence key will do. |
