1.7Gb of RAM on it

Wonder if the PCB is white? But, going by the colour just above the PCI-e connectors, I would say not :(

Does look very nice though. IMO, a black PCB with white aftermarket cooler would just look divine.

Depends if it’s an air brick or not, I suppose.

I've seen a few VERY nice rigs, all in white, it would look nice in them, but they're usually W/C though,..,

Looks okay, but I'd rather see a good quality, quiet third party HSF.

Agreed, a waterblock would also be an acceptable option  :geek:

Still, for a modding project or something (I'm thinking PC in G5 PowerMac case sprayed white with a massive window in the side panel and either UV or bright white lighting inside), it'd look good and offer adequate performance.

Good idea - don't forget to post a pic if you do make one - I've sure the Mac Bois would love it

As an aside, would you be able to install OS X on a separate hard drive / partition? - it would comply with the licence T&C, at least the part that says it must be an Apple badged computer ;)

Further ideas from some who have played with a G5 case here: Clicky

You are now tempting me and this is bad - a mod like this probably wouldn't be cheap. I'd end up wanting blue or white lighting all round and probably watercooling (at least on the CPU, maybe GPU(s) as well). I reckon some logo, maybe the Apple logo would look awesome if it was sandblasted or etched in to the massive side window I was thinking of.

Anyway, I'll look for cheap Powermac cases on eBay and maybe consider putting a budget build in the case until I get the money to do something insane.

Yes, I could (but probably wouldn't) put OS X on it - the Mac users here would want my head on a slab for doing that
