Post subject:  FTP Problems

I'm trying to setup an FTP account on my Mac so that others on the network can drop stuff in to me.
The account that I've created works just fine using the FTP client (on a Windows XP machine) but it will only allow me to drop stuff in to the top directory.
Any sub-directories return the message 'Permission denied'.
I've gone back to the Mac and applied the top directory permissions to all enclosed items but it still denies me access to drop stuff in to any of the already existing sub-directories.
The FTP client I'm using is Core FTP.
Can anyone shed any light on the problem?

How did you setup the FTP server on your Mac? I can have a looksy when I'm home, but I guess this is a work thing. Sorry.

It is.
Basically I created another account, then created a folder in that accounts Home folder. This is the top directory for the FTP client - as well as the one that will allow items to be dropped in to.
Any folders within that top one simply refuse access.
I have File Sharing set to 'on' in the sys. prefs. of the FTP account with the shared folder added in the 'Shared Folders' window and Everyone set to Read & Write privs.

I've actually just cured the problem by creating a new account. Thanks for the link though Tom.
