hi guys

im one of those strange people with a bluetooth dongle in the back of my PC, which i dont actually use, and i was wondering if it would be possible to pick up a cheapy mobile phone handsfree headset, pair it with the dongle and use it as a mic for in-game chat? i dont fancy buying a huge, expensive set of headphones with integrated mic because i dont fancy wearing something so heavy and warm during long gaming sessions (my neck is strained enough dragging all this hair around...) and i didnt buy my 5.1 sound system for nothing!!

so, is this possible? itd save me a lot of money/wires/time spent typing at n00bs over chat if it is :)

TIA

I use my Plantronics Bluetooth headset on the computer no problem. If it will work with a phone, then it should work fine on a computer.

It's nice having a separate device for speech. You can still have the music coming out of the speakers, and just chat on the headset.

Don't get one exactly like mine, it's very uncomfortable!

There are lots of much better ones available now for a fraction of the £45 mine cost nearly 10 years ago. I just don't use it that much, so I've not bothered replacing it.

ok, ive had a look at a few reviews, plantronics sets seem to be pretty highly regarded in the sub-£30 sector, which is the most i really want to pay :?
