I have been using Azures as my bittorrent program for ages now, but since its development into Vuze it does more than I need it to and constantly annoys me trying to update itself. What is everyone else using? Hobgob. |

You mean as a player? It's played everything I've ever threw at it, and was recently updated to make it a bit more modern (though don't get too excited, it still has some annoying quirks  ).

I'm a big fan of CCCP, which comes with the rather good Media Player Classic Homecinema. IMO the picture quality is much better than VLC, plus it can off-load the processing to your graphics card. The codecs it installs also work with Windows Mediaplayer and any other direct show player so you can use what you like. http://www.cccp-project.net/ I do have VLC installed too, but I only use it occasionally. No harm having both. |

I'm with JJ on both fronts. CCCP and uTorrent. Happy for years with no snags. Will be interesting to test W7's playback of formats that XP required an additional codec for. |
