Wanted to sync my iPhone to iTunes (XP). It told me some of the games cannot be transferred as they are not authorized on this computer, so I authorize the laptop.
It tells me I have used 3/5 authorizations. Yet iTunes has only ever been installed on one computer - my laptop!
Obviously somewhere down the line, iTunes got confused. The only cause I can think of is when I had to install a new hdd for the laptop, thus having to reinstall everything. This I imagine would take up two authorizations, but when and where was the third one?
Is there anything I can do to reduce it back to 1/5?
And what happens once you reach 5/5 (say by having to reinstall xp several times due to viruses etc) ?

Aside from contacting Apple, nothing I guess. Also, try to de-authorise before reinstalling...

NM. Apparently, once all the authorizations are used up, I can deauthorize all computers and then restart again.
Complete PITA imo.
