I been asked to look at building or buying a new computer for the living room

the rules are - must be better than cheaper than PC world - the one my sister looking at is a Packard Bell all in one - having a look at PC world web site it looks like it an end of range because I can not find it listed - hence no price or speck to go on.

I had a look at NovaTec because they area near where I work and pulled a blank - I was going to have another look and see what cases they got but they only do micro atx - but this is the size I need to go for?

So the question is what parts to get:

I seen case/motherboard and PSU all in one but not sure how good are these or where to look - never built one of these before

The bits that I have got is OS (Vista 64 bit)
Keyboard and mouse
22" screen but no way to do blueray - so not sure to change it - but they main TV does play blue ray and they have a PS3

PC mainly used for web and letter writing - they do pay games like SCi and roller coaster tycoon on the current one

Any idea of budget & how much space they've got?

sorry just phone my sister to find out and get some more information and she got no idea

Space is not a problem - they have a small computer desk in the living room already - but I think it be better if its small

but this some more additional information I have got now:

They have freeview box that feeds all the house - so there no need for a TV card in the computer? because they want to connect with the new computer wireless to the freeview box and internet

having built desktop before I used to working with 700 watt PSU and having a Google search and finding motherboards/cases with 60-150 watt PSU is a bit scary - it is a micro itx case and mother board I am look for?

I have found the following - not sure if its any good:

Zotac Socket 775 NVIDIA GeForce 9300 HDMI Mini ITX Intel Motherboard - http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prod ... 0-D-E.html

and

Xcase Atomic Itx Cube Case - Black with 150 Watt psu - http://www.xcase.co.uk/X-Case-Atomic-Cu ... cubebk.htm

the case will take a full size HDD and DVD drive - so a 500GB HDD for 40ish pounds and DVD RW cost about 20 pounds

Hmmm, I'm not to sure about that tbh, it could be enough. Any way to find the power draws of the kit you've listed?
