It would appear that AMD/Ati's latest graphics card, the Radeon 5970, features a mini display port.

Looks like the mdp connectors is making its way onto things Apple doesn't sell.
What chance of a Mac compatible version of the Radeon 5000 series cards for the next Mac Pro?

Well, you can get a 4870 now...so maybe in 2012?
