With the windows gaming experience score thing what's the highest?

With my E6600 and 2GB of cheapo RAM I get 5.4.

(5.9 for all the other scores)

So what would you get with a core i7 and 8GB of super RAM overclocked and liquid cooled with a SSD Raid array?

i do believe windows 7 tops out at 7.9, rig in my sig (lol) gets an average of 7 on CPU, RAM and GPU, but my HDD is rated at 5.9 :cry:

so something along the lines of a 3Ghz C2Q, low-end DDR3, 9800GTX and SSD would be about enough to top that one off :) maybe a little overkill on the CPU, im not really sure how well the extra cores scale according to M$. either way its a silly and unbalanced system, and WEI isnt worth listening to if you have an iota of PC know-how

Well, I got 7.4 without any of that. (apart from liquid cooling)

Mines a round 7.0 with hard disk being the worst although its a Crucial M225 SSD so thats a bit strange :?

Cpu = 7.4
Ram = 7.7
Graphics 7.3
Primary HDD 7.0

Not that strange.

I just ran it again.

CPU = 7.5
RAM = 7.5
Graphics = 7.5
Gaming Graphics = 7.5
Primary Hard disk = 7.1

My SSD has dropped 3 points, since my initial Win 7 install. :?

Time for a firmware update, methinks.

Whoa! :lol:

When HT kicks in on this Pentium D, the score jumps up by .3 points, taking me to 6.3 :)

You need to make sure W7 knows that it's and SSD, otherwise it will kill it pretty quickly. Once it knows it works pretty well (not defragging, editing the delete process etc.)

From what I've heard from guys at work, not even two SSDs in RAID 0 will max out the hard drive score.

Pentium D's didn't use HT (with the exception of the $1000 840 EE)

Are you sure?

I have a setting in my BIOS to enable HT, and when I do benchmark scores go up and so does my WinExperience thing.
