Hi all, I have a small problem with my website http://adam-kale-ep.comuf.com/ I have already made my site and its running perfect but how can I make it so that http://adam-kale-ep.comuf.com/ is my home page, I dont know what this index of thing is or how it ended up like this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Kal

What is the filename of your site's homepage? Standard practice dictates it be called index.html/.php/.htm/.asp/etc, and with a free host I doubt you'll have the ability to alter the config too much. (Possibly via a httpd.config file, but it'd be simpler to just re-name your homepage).

That was probably a problem with where you FTP'd it to then, going by your other thread. Use your FTP client to move everything up a level in the directory structure.

Just as a side note.... I can't help but notice your e-portfolio has nothing of any computing value in it, a portfolio is a sample of your work, not a collection of past jobs and references.

Couple of points:

That images need trimming down to size, it takes way too long to load at the moment because it's so much bigger than it needs to be:

http://adam-kale-ep.comuf.com/E-Portfol ... BANNER.jpg

There are various others as well. They all want to be stored at the size they will appear.

You also want things like your banner to be inline with your menu as well, currently it hangs over the edge.

I know but thats what they asked us to make, its my first e portfolio and no there isnt any computing stuff in there but thats because I dont have any, this is just year 1, but I showed them it yesterday and they said it was a good pass so it must be what they are looking for....thing is tho, this is just to get me started on building a website ect, I think they realise I have nothing to put on it yet so they said to put all the other crap lol.

Thanks for the advice on the images I will trim them down before I submit it for final marking.

Cheers guys

Kal
