Help!

Guy I work with is a heavy Excel user. He keeps getting the really helpful crash 'Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and will close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.' I thought it might be something to do with the RAM I installed last week but he said it was crashing before the memory was installed.

I have installed a brand new hard drive with a new image on it and it still crashed. Yesterday he went on to a completely different machine and it didn't crash. Today I've put his hard drive in a different laptop hoping that will resolve it.

If anyone has some ideas or tips please let me know.

Thanks

Carolyn

If you go to event viewer does it have the crash in there?

If so what information does it display?

Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Event Viewer - Application (might be worth looking in Office Diagnostics?).

See if the error shows up and it should have a signature or some info or something.

Okey doke will do.

So far no new issues so fingers crossed it's resolved. If it's not I'm jumping out of the window instead of throwing the PC out.
