I have some audio books which I imported with the rest of my library. Although they are marked as audio books, they still appear as "music". I have a couple of audio books from Audible, and they appear under Audio Books in iTunes. How do I get my existing audio books to appear under audio books?

I assume what you did was
Get info - options - media kind set to 'audio book"?
Could it possibly be they are MP3 and iTunes only recognises audiobooks in AAC/.M4A? They need to be in AAC to be able to set bookmarks.
Update : I just did this with a few M4A files and they did move to the audiobooks section in iTunes. Haven't tried with MP3's cos I transcribed everything to AAC a while ago.

Thanks! I had changed the genre to Audiobook, hadn't seen that there was also a "Media" type!
You are a star!
