Q: I want to get XP off my machine once and for all. It is on the same physical drive as SUSE and I'd like the space back as well. How do I do it?
A: Best bet is a program called QTParted - a partition magic clone. However if you're stuck in the cli to reformat the windows partition using mke2fs or mkreiserfs etc. The SUSE partitioner was used to reformat it as Ext3 and mount it as /mnt/101disk. Then the Windows entry in GRUB was deleted.
