Can anyone recommend this monitor? http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?ProductId=21398I was thinking of getting it but I wondered if anyone can fault it first, as the price is great for a 22" HD ready monitor...at least I think its a monitor...or is it classed as a TV? Thanks Kal

Given that the resolution is 1680*1050 it would only show 720HD wouldn't it?
Still, it looks OK for the price.

hahah ok I changed my mind.....I think I want one of these!! http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134875/show_product_reviews?offset=10&review_type=both&review_order_by=RUF#Fantastic tv for the price.....only thing is...will it run with my pc? Can anyone tell me? I want to use it to watch movies and the internet through my pc...obviously games will not have a chance with my setup so I will connect a 19" monitor for pc gaming. Still need to check if my graphics card even has HDMI plugs lol. but still bargain for this tv. Any comments Cheers Kal

It'll run with a dvi-hdmi adaptor (I can probably send you one). You could probably game on it for older games. You need to sit 3-4 metres away at least for it to be useful.

1080p 42" for £500 http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct ... A-UT42MX70It got 3 stars on what hi-fi. It was let down by its price (which at the time was £1700 so not an issue anymore) and lack of connectivity (1 HDMI). It also lacks a TV tuner to keep the screen thin and light. Still for the money its cracking. I'd just pick a cheap HDMI splitter up from Maplin.

This TV does not have 1:1 pixel mapping over HDMI, so you can't get 1080p resolution to fit from a PC. I know, I have one of those screens.

Linux will try to use my 22" HG216D at a 1080p screen resolution, and it looks truly horrible.
