Woot! First post! Anyway. I used to use Microsoft Money on my PC. I still have it available but I rarely use my PC anymore as I find it more convenient to use my MacBook. Anyway, is there any equivalent software for the Mac that works in the same way as Microsoft Money? The main thing I would need is the account sheet (deposits and withdrawals) and some sort of cash flow diagram. Other things like categorised spending and budgeting would also be handy. I really liked having MS Money just to put my mind at rest when it came to finances. TBH I'm actually thinking of writing something myself if nothing is available. Thanks Oliver |

It's not got the reputation it used to have, but have you tried hunting for stuff on VersionTracker? I don't do financial stuff, which probably exlains the situation I'm in most of the time! I know I have some money in my bank accounts, but never quite know exactly how much at any one time. All I do know is I avoid going overdrawn if I can help it. ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Heather! I'm just downloading a 30 day trial of some software I've found but never been able to find before. (I have looked several times for similar software.) Anywho... http://www.iggsoftware.com/ibank/downloads.php?dl=ibank |

Got a good reputation that one. Can you give us a quick review when you've had a good go of it? I've never been able to find Mac accounts software I 'get on with' but if it's good I'd give it another go. Jon |

It seems very comprehensive from what I have done with it. Definitely worth the cost of about £40 ish. The demo only supports 75 transactions so I imported the last month's transactions from my online bank account. It has support for automatic connection to your online account but not for NatWest. It seems it only works for American banks. It has forecasting and reports as you would expect for multiple accounts and also investment portfolios. Some bits are a bit gimicky and use Mac features purely because they exist. (Who needs coverflow view to see transactions?) I might even purchase it. (You can also sync to iPhone software through MobileMe which sounds nifty but I haven't set it up. |

I've downloaded it too, and again like it. Very similar opinions here, namely the lack of UK bank imports, and over zealous use of cover flow. It is otherwise "Brit-friendly" though, which makes a pleasant change! I'd like the iPhone tool, but it relies on mobile me which i don't want/need. Oh well! Edd |
