Just a thought but as we have so many Mac geniuses here where is best , I want one to play with .

eBay is where you'll likely get the cheapest, but certainly not the most recent. If you want recent refurbs then the online Apple Store has a dedicated refurb section. There's also a refurb section at Jigsaw24.com and probably other places too, I just don't know of 'em. I've now bought 3 of my Macs from the Apple refurb store and I can't fault any of them.

I got my MBP as an ex-demo from KRCS... I did email pretty much any Apple dealer to ask if they had and refurbs/ex-demo first though...
There is a guy called 'Dr Happy Mac' who seems to get kit in now and again - worth a Google....
