Hi all, I have managed to install Centos 5 onto my laptop successfully. Now I need to be able to install VNC so that I can control the laptop remotely. I have tried YUM install VNC but this failed, can anyone help out with this install. thanks Alan |

If you're going to be accessing from another Linux machine, why not just use SSH with X tunneling? |

How did the install fail? Otherwise, I've looked at xrdp recently, I've not tried it, but as far as I can make out, it's both an RDP and a VNC server. HTH, Ben |

+1 it is what they designed XWindows for... There is no need for third party tools, like VNC to use a remote machine in UNIX/Linux. |

If the OP wants to go down the VNC route then http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/VNC-Server is a good place to start. |
